A New Family Documentary Photography Experience

Some ideas arrive quietly, taking their time to form. Others show up with such clarity that you know they’re meant to be followed. This was one of those ideas. The more I sat with it, the more I knew it had to exist—not just for me, but for the families who feel time slipping by and want a deeper, more meaningful way to preserve it.

As a documentary family photographer, I’ve spent years capturing real, unscripted moments—the ones that tell the true story of a family. But I’ve also noticed something… too often, these moments are fleeting, collected in digital galleries but not always lived with, not always felt in the way they deserve to be.

That’s why I’ve been working on something new.

Something that’s never been part of my offerings before.

Something that will give families the chance to preserve their story in a way that unfolds over time, becoming more valuable with each passing year.

What Makes Documentary Family Photography Different?

Unlike traditional posed sessions, documentary-style family photography captures life as it happens—unfiltered, honest, and full of emotion. There’s no forced smiles, no staged moments—just your family as they truly are. This style is perfect for families who:

I specialize in child-led family storytelling sessions, lifestyle photography, and intimate documentary experiences throughout Stanly County, Montgomery County, and the greater Charlotte area.
