This is my home.
The picturesque rural community I’ve resided in for most of my years.
It’s where my childhood memories are deeply rooted—akin to the roots of the trees I once climbed;
The place my childhood ended and where my very own family began.
It is quite beautiful.
I’ve come to notice that more over the years.
And winter's touch lends it way to silence, if only temporary;
Something about the snow that makes me pause a little longer—and take notice.
“I used to think it too small to spend a life in, but now I’m not so sure.”
