Reflection.
Time has a way of granting us this gift.
It's had me reflecting upon this senior session.
I shot it before the shutdown.
Pre-stay-at-home order.
#COVID was a familiar term in every household, but not yet coupled with fear and uncertainty –at least not in my small town.
I uttered those words loosely and with a very different perspective in that moment.
As I reflect back now, that statement brings to mind the words of Martin Luther King Jr:
𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙮.
To overcome and come out better after this challenge, will be incredible indeed.
So, when the order is lifted; when some sense of normalcy is back in our lives; when social distancing is no longer taking precedence in our minds, I will be here. Ready to capture your milestones; to document your achievements; to listen to your stories and preserve them for you, your families and your friends.
It's everyone's story.
It's your story.
It is a part of your journey and this story deserves to be told.
